Imam of Masjid an-Nur in Houston

Translation of the Response of the Honorable Imam of Masjid an-Nur in Houston, Tx, Shaykh Muhammad Qamar al-Hasan al-Hanafiyy al-Qadiriyy.
He was asked about the issue and his response was published in Manar al-Huda Magazine, Issue No 12, Rabi^ Al-‘Akhir, 1414 AH - October 1993.
He, may Allah protect him, said: “some people in America asked me this question and I became certain regarding this issue that the direction of al-Qiblah in relation to Northern America is southeast. He who wants to examine and be certain let him review the books of al-fiqh.”
